Press Release A new look for the Dino V6 Register www.dinoregister.com updated/ Over 3,400 classic cars and their stories already recorded Cologne, March 1, 2007. Denny Schues passion for the Dino V6 automobile moved him his entire life. Before the American enthusiast and internationally renowned expert on the small Ferrari passed away in June 2006, he gave his entire database to his fellow Dino fan Matthias Urban in Germany. His legacy will now live on with a new and modern look under the name Denny Schues Dino Register. Created in 1980, the database collects all available data on each of the 4,100 Dinos ever produced. The database currently contains over 3,400 cars and many exciting stories about them. Matthias Urban works as managing director of a major German-American investment fund company. He also spends time researching information about the remaining cars and changes to the already included cars. The project has received wide support from previous and current V6 owners from the U.S., Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Australia and Great Britain since 1980. Dealers from the U.S. willingly provided the chassis numbers of Dinos sold through their dealerships, thus contributing essential pieces to solving the puzzle. The Dino 206 GT was the first Dino to be approved for use in normal road traffic in 1967. Dino was the nickname of Enzo Ferraris son Alfredo, who played a leading role in the development of the V6 engine before his premature death at age 24. Congratulations in taking the batton! The new site looks extremely professional with some good additional links and info. G P
Congratulations, and thanks for doing this. Question: Are you also tracking the 8 cylinder dino's? Dom
yes, Dom, we do, but Denny had lost interest in the 8 cyl. cars in the last years. I'm trying to catch up with the gaps, as well as I still have to insert blanks in Denny's Db on 6 cyl. compared to mine (I have to admit that this is not too much). On the other hand, our friends at http://www.dino-gt4-registry.com/ are doing a real good work on the 8 cyl. Together we will have a full view on all 206, 246, 208 and 308 one fine day with the good support of owners, enthusiasts, dealers, spotters and all of you on the Forum. Matthias
Nice update, and very fine tribute to what Denny started. He would be proud, I'm sure, to see his legacy in such capable hands. Dave M.
Matthias - I think the new site looks terrific. And I also greatly appreciate your very quick reply to my email question this morning.
iam a new dino owner #07594 and the site was helpful for me in discovering that a certain dino was recoverd car that was burned and made into a GTS...the site is pricless and we should give it our full support........

Here's a car you can ad to your list. I dont know the s/n for the second bar but... Both cars are located in Norway 002580 - 246 GT AA 46549 ***** - 246 GT ST 49050 Paul
did you mean the register list...if thats what you meant this list is totally volunteering but here is the web site and list it yourself...www.dinoregister.com....
Thank you, Paul, the Register takes data from whereever it can as long as they are rated as reliable. Mo pointed out that the easiest way to get the car registered on www.dinoregister.com is to fill out the web-based registration form. This is not only appicable for new owners, but for previous and long time owners, enthusiasts, spotters or anybody who is able to provide any interessting news about a V6 or V8 Dino. We always have the ambition to be complete on the data, but at least the Serial Number is the only minimum data required. All cars without S/N are put into the big data storage of "Mystery Cars", hoping to escape from there to find their place in the register more sooner than later. Do you have the colour combo of 02580? Thanks for adding Matthias Urban Registrar with Denny Schue's Dino Register
I have a few pictures of the Dino owned by Geneal Motors Design. It had some interesting modifications done under the direction of Bill Mitchell. I am not sure of its location today, but it would be of interest if anyone could shed light on its whereabouts. should be 01626. History is registered until '89 on plates 339 DL then and belonging to Everett L. Gardiner. Never heard of since. Matthias PS: who has the copyright on the pictures? GM? If anybody knows and it's suiteable it would be great to show the picture under 01626 as we are preparing this option at the moment to be rolled out approx. next week.
Does your car have wide fender flairs, Daytona seats, headlamp covers and air conditioning? http://www.dinoregister.com/search.php?detailsearch=07594-9
Ya, it was red...or kinda like off-red I guess the sun have bleached it over the years. The int. was black!
The photos are personal ones. I drove the car a number of times as my father was an assistant to Bill Mitchell and used to occasionally drive it home . I have more photos which I 'll send you as soon as they're scanned. You are welcome to use them in the registry.
no don't know how that got on my mask i did't list those options...it might have defaulted to that...but i guss mattias could answer that better.....again no fender flairs...no daytona seats and no cover headlights...but does have air...........MO
Thanks. I was wondering how much it had changed. The AC wasn't on the car originally. If you want some history you can email me at [email protected]
that's kind and great news, thank you! We will have the Option of showing pictures of the car (where applicable) probably within the day, latest after the weekend! Matthias
Mo, there are click boxes when you fill out the register form. If you don't click as being on the car as an option, the email messages I get will show it as blank and blank means "not available or not on the car" and I will leave it open in the database (as long as any news confirms or names it as an option). Matthias
Since a few minutes, the feature of having pictures associated with the cars is online. Please use the contact form to upload your Dino and please don't forget to mention the serial number of the car to conect the right car to the right picture. Enjoy!
