    Hi Everyone from Monaco.
Well my car is sold and I bought a house in Cravanzana, Italy. It's in the Piemonte region in the north. I Have a beautiful stone cassata built in the 1880's that I am now in the process of renovating. Not much cost except for the exchange rate. I am surrounded by Hazelnut tree groves, The finest vineyards and the center of White Truffles. For a Chef, it really doesn't get better than this!! The roads? Well the roads are what Ferrari's were made for!!!
Of Course I still call Florida my home for now and in the next year or two, I will be on the hunt for a 355 or a 550 Hopefully.
I will return at the end of October and hope to get to a get together in my rental. 'Gave away my beater car too.
I am in Monaco and sitting down having a couple of beers with friends watched a Lambo Sypder, 430 Modena, 2 360 sypders and a Diablo scream past the pool.
    Life doesn't suck!!
Ciao ciao and Thanks, See you soon.
    Robert

congrats. you say you're renovating the house. where do you go to get building supplies? somehow i don't think there's a home depot in the neighborhood. i've always toyed with the thought but the logistics seem very difficult. are permits needed? are they obtainable? or do you just hire a local and stand back and hope for the best. bouno fortuna.

I have a local guy who does great work (he comes highly reconmended from a friend). Phase one has started, to make the house habitable. The massive cleanout, electrical, plumbing and replacement of windows and doors.

    Love it!

Everytime I go to Italy I have the same exact idea. Buy a place and fix it up and have a nice vacation home.
Glad you are living my dream.

I assume you are getting paid in Euro so the exchange rate did not kill you. :)

Beautiful place to live. Close enough to Monaco, a few miles from Savona. Excellent choice!
Eventually I will do that plunge as well. The exchange rate is just killing the US Dinero so bad right now.
I am working with a new project here in the States and that will be marketed to European Investors so I may be paid in EURO once we start selling.

Now your talking Martin. We can have a South Florida Outpost!!!
    I am 1 1/2 hours to Torino
2 1/2 hours to San Remo. Tack on another 45 minutes to Monaco give or take.
I remember 4 years ago, the Dollar /Euro was one to one. Boy, do I miss the good old days!!
Fuel for the Ferrari? I can't imagine the weekly cost.
