    Hi everyone,

I'm new here but have lurked for some time. I am hoping to buy a 360 within the next year or so, and in the meantime I am gathering information on every aspect of ownership that I can find, and sort of pre-planning how that will translate into my particular situation.

With that being said, I am inherently disadvantaged in that I live in Alaska. There are no Ferrari dealerships here, and in fact the closest U.S. dealership is probably 1500 miles away in WA state. So in order to keep up with required maintenance and repair, I'm anticipating that I would need to ship the car south from time to time, which will add time and money to every dealer visit that the car may need. That presents a lot of inconvenience, so I'd really like to find a fantastic, reputable dealership on the west coast, or close to it. The collective members on any automotive forum I subscribe to, seem to have a "favorite" dealership or two, that always get it right, and does right by its customers. I guess I'm wondering, which dealership(s) have that reputation here? Glossing over many posts, I've seen some recommendations for shops on the East Coast, but nothing yet on the West. If not a dealership, are there any other Ferrari servicing centers that I should consider for maintenance? Similarly, I suppose I should inquire about who to avoid as well. For example, I don't want a place that charges $7k for a clutch r/r and does lousy work when there's another place 20 miles away that routinely does the same job right for $5k. I just don't have that kind of local inside knowledge.

I can get the car to the West Coast much more easily than the East, and I expect that during some winter seasons I may store the car in Los Angeles rather than here in Alaska, so any service centers in the SoCal area would be optimal; I can have the car serviced and cared for while winter runs its course up here. (about six months a year... ugh!) Really though, anywhere near the West Coast would be just fine if the establishment is outstanding.

Thanks for any assistance or suggestions! If the logistics of Ferrari ownership in Alaska can be worked out, then I shall look forward to joining the group of owners!

edit: After posting, I found some some favorable references in an earlier thread, to a place called "Fast Cars." Any other good places?

You're on the right track Jason. FASTCARS in Redondo Beach has an excellent reputation. Craig is very accommodating and knowledgeable and above all, will treat you right. Good luck on your car search.

I lived half my life in Fairbanks, Ak and I can relate. Where in Alaska are you located? At least Anchorage has a slightly longer sports car driving season than Fairbanks (but more rain to boot). Wish you the best on your journey into Ferrari-land.

He's with AutoGallery, not Fastcars, I believe. I have heard great things about both.
