    Hi Jim

I am afraid I have some disappointing news for you. We have had to change
our race meeting calendar and unfortunately San Antonio is not now on it as
it has been replaced by a race in Brazil. Sorry about this. If you go to
the site you will see the new calendar with the change of venue and also
    some date alterations.

    Regards

Unfortunate, but not a surprise -- apparently nobody had actually talked to the city gov't about the event.

So, another minor feeder series with no US race -- that'll catch on here for sure....

This series is in its infancy if it announced a race in San Antoino without the people in san antoino knowing about it...

Let's not be too hard on A1GP i'm sure there's going to be some "teething" issues.

I have had a guy here in San Antonio contact me several times about sponsering a "San Antoino Gran Prix"...anything on that? Or are we talking about a different monkey in the tree?

He was really interested in me helping, he sent me a lot of info on the event, and it sounded really good. Our city government here takes 6 months or longer to find a leader (city manager). What do you think will happen when they have to close off downtown and let a bunch of open wheels loose?

If we did it, count me in as the "Franco" of San Antonio, we'll have one heck of a Ferrari party...SA style!

Actually the originally listed date for SAT has now been replaced with a race in Monterrey, Mexico. Too bad as we were planning on attending the race.
