    Hi everyone,
I went to turn on my car today and the engine won’t start. In fact, there is no noise from the engine at all... but the electrical seems to be fine.

I’m thinking it’s a dead starter... anyone else have thoughts about this?

...and never mind. (As I I insert foot into mouth). I forgot to turn off the immobilizer [emoji58]

I need to move to a warm climate so I can drive more often.

At least on my 575M, she turns over and will not start, which gives you a hint. Not that I have ever done that....

Further proof that Ferrari intended for the driver to embrace, embody, and assimilate the chirp so much that hearing it becomes part of the starting ritual. Had you done that this would not have happened.

Never part of my starting ritual, since you have 120 seconds after you unlock to start her. My technique at gas stations, which are the easiest places to screw up, is to lock her after exiting so you have to use the fob to get inside. Has worked for nearly 11 years now.

Ha! Hey mbyomark, I've done it too. No harm no foul, eh? Such "senior moments" are becoming distressingly more common w/ me. Oh well... Cheers!

There is actually no need for the annoyingly loud chirp. Just turn the key to the running position, press the fob, start the engine. This way the immobilizer is disengaged without chirping!
