Slightly different topic, but the photo shows the trunk gutter black line differently than The Dino Compendium has it on P. 214

Is this line exactly as original?

    Matthias,

Here is #04054 in it's original factory paint before restoration. The black line around the trunk opening is what we used on #03342.

that doesn`t look correct, might be repainted in the 1970s....
all period pictures, also all pictures in period magazines, don`t show any black paint....
even pictures taken at the factory in March 1973 show no black paint...
(picture of a RHD 246 GT, page 68 Dino Compendium)

But having said that, I saw #04096 where I also believed the car still had his original paint... and the hood openings were painted black... very difficult to judge
with Ferrari you never know... but I really love to see one period picture with black hood openings...

    very difficult topic....

My GT, which is totally original and in an untouched state, has the blacking line as per Iains car. This is how it came on the car from the factory early in 1973.
My unrestored GTS has exactly the same line, and was only a few cars away on the production line.
