    Back in the day, Porsche offered a factory upgrade to 959 with 523 horses. Didn't any F40 pack such extra power? :)

    I have heard in a few places that some early cars did come with hotter cams. IDK if it is accurate though.

    I think it's just the f40 gt that was done 'by' michelotto, identifiable by the oz wheels. I'm pretty sure the Monaco f40 from the owner of RM car dealer is one of those.

    Gianni Agnelli's F40 was fitted with a Valeo semi automatic transmission... Not exactly the kind of upgrade you may be referring to, but interesting nonetheless.

    no factory upgrades i am aware of.

    which is a pain frankly because those of us who have swapped in better turbos and bigger brakes, now get shunned by the factory for all events, eventhough we haev improved the car the way the factory would have and without any overt changes.
