Were there spare engines/transaxles for the P car Prototypes?

    0858 had a spare engine and transaxle which is being used in David Piper's P4 replica. I've never heard of any other Prototype engine/transaxle surfacing as being with any of the P cars or for sale so were there actually any? I'm also wondering actually if the 0858 numbered engine/transaxle that are in Piper's P4 are actually from the real burnt out 0846 (please do not confuse with the Glickenhaus fake P4) but renumbered from 0846 to 0858?
