West Cobb 9/9 photos:

A week ago, there were no significant daytime car shows in the area, so I went to an evening show, a monthly cruise-in held at the West Cobb Marketplace on the corner of Dallas Hwy and Barrett Pkwy. I expected a fairly modest affair, but this was a big show, on the order of the East Cobb morning show, mainly using the parking area of a bank and the adjacent Wendy's. A sound system was set up to play oldies, and raffle tickets were sold.

Naturally, I had the only F-car there, and the only other Europeans were a pair of first-generation VW Beetles. There was a Ford GT, so at least I didn't have the only low-slung mid-engined car on the premises.

Novelties included a Crosley, a Hudson, and a beautiful '30s Cadillac V-8. The last pics are of a Camaro with an enormous blower and the widest treaded tires I think I've seen on a street-legal car, and a twin-turbo Corvette with an impressive dyno sheet.
