Anyone else catch the most amazing lightning show in the past 10 years last night? Absolutely unreal. Bill in Hartsdale
I thought you lived in Brooklyn? Yes, we watched from our second floor bedroom, overlooking the Hudson River. I actually expected a much more violent storm to follow all the flashes and rumbling, but it subsided and eventually went quiet (or I fell asleep)...
although i am not from westchester, bergen county nj got hit pretty hard. i lost power from 11pm-5am. it got a little hot to say the least.
I went out driving during that storm. Having a storm like that and not putting quattro to the test...yeah right (call me crazy if you will). The car handled amazingly. I had one incident where a small branch fell off a tree and hit my car. No damage luckily. But yeah the storm was awesome.
i dont ever want to experience that again. we had one back in 03 in jersey in april and it took 1.5 yrs to finish all the cars in this area.
I did ... but I knocked the wife up a little over a year ago and we decided that Brooklyn and its crappy air quality was nowhere to raise a child. It took us a while, but we found a nice fixxer upper pre-war co-op (got that Brooklyn feeling without the Brooklyn air quality). Spacious, inexpensive, walking distance to the Metro-North ... we moved in Memorial-Day weekend and we definitely like it. http://www.pbase.com/bill_in_brooklyn/tyler Bill
