    when A sends money to B , B needs to show up at the agency with Id card and transaction number/code ?

    Its too late now in Fr to call and check and i would like to clear this now

    No ID needed if there is a code word. Gosh, have heard about MANY Western Union scams, hope that is not your situation.

    In Canada they started taking ID's for large amounts, anything above $1000 or so - codword or not.

    Western Union is a way to send money to people (family) in other countries. If you bought something and paid for it via Western Union. You probably got ripped off. Only scammers use it to sell products.
