The owner says he is part of a museum; when I pressed him for the name, he said it was a private collection in Pennsylvania north of Philly. No name provided. But he did say one of the Aztecs was going to be for sale. I asked if it was going to one of the public auctions; answer, no, to be sold privately.
I have the mans name that owns the Aztec, the museum must not be under his name cause I think I would have heard of it. Erik
Jim, I know that Ralph Lauren isnt one of your favorite collectors, however I did get some nice snaps of his '29 Bentley Blower back in June. Its the second car appearing in my album here: http://photobucket.com/albums/1003/greg84mk2/RL%20at%20MFA%20-%20June%202005/ congrats on yet another deserving award
LOL @ all this Aztec talk. I happened to be walking with Benny C at the Greenwich Concours when we came upon this Aztec: http://photobucket.com/albums/1003/greg84mk2/Greenwich%20-%20June%202005/?action=view¤t=136.jpg He stopped and said what the hell is that, as he read the display card. In his Italian accent he proceded to say thats probably the ugliest car EVER! Cracked me up!
Three weeks ago I never heard of a ****ing Azteck now I am hearing about the same car almost everyday. I agree IMHO it is ugly but to each his own. Erik
Its kind of funny how two of ugliest cars ever made were named aztec. I could not believe that was a giugaro design.
It is quite ugly and only a 2 liter engine I think. There were some great cars at the show to get off the Aztec subject. The 166MM was fantastic and I loved the Alfa. Anyone know who won Best of Show?
