bump, look forward to seeing Fchatters there. The weather is getting nice and WGI is a great track for winding up the engine
NICE! Do you know if they allow open wheel cars as COMSCC has open and closed wheel cars on the track together and WGI is cool with it.
sorry have no idea..are you running a convertible or an actual open wheeler formula-like? check with http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/ or e-mail simon the registrar [email protected]
Open wheel, pretty much gave up on the tagra top for 2007 (until we get a blower in her and sort out a few hopefully easy bits). The normal car has 40+ track days, so a refreshing is in order. Thanks for the heads up, but in hindsight i did 4 days in a row at WGI last year and by the end of day 3 i was kinda spent. Need to be at top form for the time trials on 'day four' and then we usually get an hour or two of fully open track time
You might want to check on that. Para. 5 of Attachment A in the WGI renter's agreement states: "There will NOT be a mixture of open wheel and closed wheel vehicles on the track at any time with the exception of emergency vehicles".
Perhaps some clubs have enough open wheel cars to make things work while other are hard-pressed. COMSCC has a nice selection of open wheel guys and is a safe way to go about getting great track experience plus time trials to gather points/trophies. Open wheel cars have MANY avenues nowadays from SCCA and MARRS to F2000 Champ Series, etc. BTW, one COMSCC guy is a near-champion in open wheel SCCA while another has an Indy car! Still another... COMSCC has a great selection from Porsche and BMW to Z06 Vettes, open wheel cars, Factory Five Ford, Miatas, vintage Alfa, WRx, etc. probably one of the widest variety of vehicles this side of SCCA. Look forward to seeing a few Ferrari guys there, as last year i was the only Fcar tintop. Look forward to seeing Fchatters at the event.
