    From reading these posts about the 355 I have gathered that some issues are common (ie: cats, headers, valve guides, shrinking dash, warping AC switch cover, etc) and obviously can be expensive (you gotta pay to play).

    What I want to know, is the 355 motor a guy with about 7 out 10 automotive repair skills can maintain? What is it about the 355 V8 that makes it a truly unique design? What is it that gives it that "sound?"

    3 intake valves

    180° crank, other wise know as a flat crank

    Sad that a 348 owner was the first to reply to this. I'm pretty sure this confirms that 348 owners are real car guys and f355 guys are just hair dressers that drop their cars off at the dealer for service.
