So, I need to replace the tires and refinish the factory rims so instead of that why not spend a small amount more and get 19's. Seems the Modular 19" and Champion RG5 3 piece mesh style rims are just not available... Unless someone knows where to get those...

What others might be a good idea?

    Not interested in challenge rims.

My first question is, why 19"s exactly?

Look into HRE as they are perhaps the top American manufacturer of premium custom wheels and have made many wheels for Ferraris, including 5 spoke, split 5 spoke and mesh style wheels. Google search for images.

Hamann wheels are German and look great on BMWs. Personally, I find their square-edged spokes at odds with the more curvaceous lines of the 355.

    nismodrifter - Yes!

I have had Hamann PGs and PG2s on my BMWs and they are nice but 1) they are heavy, 2) the offsets with the stepped lip for a PG3 only give you a short dish in the rear.

I can call up DPE or AvantGarde to get something or of course HRE. Just trying to decide to go full custom (3-4 month order) or find some used Champion rims.

    I like the mesh style.

thanks for all of the input so far.

Kennyd had a set of Hamaan pg3s for sale. Might want to hit him up. They're rare in the correct 5x108 bolt pattern and 355 offsets.

It's not that I don't think other wheels don't look good, it's just my opinion that the 355 is a masterpiece from the factory :)

I picked up this set of Asanti 19's modulars here on FChat about a month ago for my 348. Haven't had a chance to mount them yet. Got distracted a few weeks later when I picked up a set of 360 Starfish Wheels and mounted them up first. I really like the look of the Starfish on the 348. I'm curious how the 19 Asanti's will look and will soon post a pic with them on the 348. Maybe sell if they aren't my favorites

not sure what type rims those are, definitely 19's.. and looks stunning in motion..

must be some type of mesh style rim..

my ultimate dream rim on the 355, would be a set of 360 CS 19s..!
some time ago.. I saw a post of one guy who did it.. looked amazing..

PG2s are much heavier than PG3s.
How much do these 19" wheels your looking at weight? If weight is the issue, go 355challenge, or stay stock. You really wont find anything lighter.
I found this thread, full of weights of a bunch of BBS, Advan, AVS and HRE wheels, my PG3s weight less then many of those http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265756

As a note, almost all the weight of the pg3 is in the center, the barrels are very light. Id guess it might even have less rotating mass then the stock 1pc
