Looks like a Competizione to me. I remember seeing an advert of this car in Germany a year or two back. There was a similar car for sale in Canada but without the exposed lights.

I am trying to figure out if I like the headlights enough to suggest it as an option for our cars. I kind of like the smooth metal finish of the regular 348 hoodline and the healight baskets break this up. Now, if they had more of a F512M look, maybe I'd go with it.

Interesting that it appears to be a ts- I'd have thought that any comp car, especially one by Michelotto or other big-time outfit, would more likely be a tb in order to avoid any flex. Roll cage mitigates this concern somewhat I suppose, but still . . .

I like the head lights. Even more I like the fog light covers. I might see about making a set this weekend.

if you can make a set of covers, I'll buy one off of you. I think many others would too!

There are different types of Competizione. There's the street version, like mine, then there's the Michelotto race version of which there were eleven I think, and then there were the special Michelotto LM spec, think there were two of those.

I think it's a ts that's been modified, or it might even be a Challenge car that's been made road legal. Either way it's a modified something. This thread has some more info http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80220&highlight=348+competizione

1st off there are two cars pictured at the top. They are not the same car.

The first appears to be and old challenge car. The second IIRC is a true Michaletto converted car.

There were two Michaletto 348 ts's. One was sold in the US and was on e-bay last year. It was owned by a private collector and had never raced. This may be the one.
