    Guys,

Just so I know what I'm talking about before calling my mechanic, my car has been in the shop for 13 months today. The car had some serious work as it was off the road for 5 years. (Fuel went off, EFI rebuild, tank sensors etc...)

Anyhow, car passed Smog June 24th after the major was complete..

Question, Shop says my passenger window has had "Parts on Backorder" BUT it's been 7 months ????? ( considering : I supplied a brand new window track what's left?)

So what parts are " No Longer Available " ?? Motor ? Switches ? Wiring harness ?

I've been pretty patient and my mechanic is meticulous, I'm not here to complain but I'd like my car back soon.

    Appreciate any insight...
    Patrick

How about one of the salvage yards and what was wrong with yours?

Heck window would go up slow, upon disassembly the track was pretty shot. I ordered a new one a few years back and supplied it to the mechanic.

He said the switches were wired incorrectly and parts were back ordered.

Well after 7 months , I've gotta get on his butt.... I just wanted to know what I'm talking about before calling.

I assume the window motors are available, if not can be rebuilt by somebody.

13 months for a major is a little long I'd say..

    Thanks
    Patrick

The motor unit is the same as the fiat X1/9 Granfinale, plenty of those available.
