Just did my first clay job on my p-car , outstanding. After trying it out on that, I'll tackle the f-car tomorrow
Question, how do you store the clay for the next job, can't seem to find any reference on the instructions

Using a clay bar is a great thing. It really works. I usually store mine in a plastic container and spray some spray wax on it just to give it a little moisture while im not using it. I always rework the clay before using it again also.

Just put it back in the original plastic jar it came in. I've seen instructions on different brands that say to either rinse it with water first, or spray the surface with the lubricant you used with your car.

It just so happens that the Concours and Detailing Tips column I've already submitted for the next FCA NewsBulletin (November issue) is going to be on using a Clay Bar on your Ferrari.

    Barranr,
I also just bought the first clay at Boadwalk Ferrari on detailing demo day. I was surprised the difference it made by their domo on my hood.
How long did it take for you to do the whole body for Porsche?

    Mike,
I just noticed your tip section from the last month. I am looking forward to it from now on.

Took me about 1/2 a day to wash, clay and wax, i cheated a bit cause it's a targa so didn't have to do the roof.

I did mine weekend before last - took me about 4 hours from wash to final finish spray. Of course, didn't have to do the parts with 3M package. :)

    It looks and feels amazing.

My pleasure... I've not found anything better for smoothing out paint chip touch-ups.

For others not familiar with it, click here. It's not my company... I just use it (and they're also a Ferrari Club sponsor)
