All (new) TR had/have an 82mm bore and 78mm stroke so the nominal (new) engine displacement is 4943 cm^3 -- sometimes they call this 4.9L and sometimes 5.0L (but there's only one size).

4.9 is the size the newer tr from 1992 -1995 had a larger bore size but the 4.9 displacement remained the same. the f40 is 2.9 v8 but few people still say 3.0 which is 2.9 ... so its 4.9 not 5.0...
    hope this helps

All TR's, TR 512's and M's were 82x78. Compression ratio changed but not bore size.
