Well the 348 is running and running very well! Saturday morning I met with some friends who ride Harley's and we left Sunnyvale for a cruise to Moss Landing. Spirited driving over Highway 17 to Santa Cruz and then on down to ML. I could not resist down shifting and accelarting to the red line at every bridge (Tubi test pipes and single muffler). We pulled in at the Marina and had a great seafood lunch and a brew. Back on the road to Santa Cruz where we cruised along East Cliff (ocean frontage) and down to the Boardwalk. It was bumper to bumper at the Boardwalk and the car behaved perfectly. Hundreds of gawker snaping photos and clamoring for a look, what a good feeling! Lot's of beach babe eye candy :) Back over 17 where I picked up my previous boss and we put her through some paces. Hit approx. 150mph before I started to scare myself. I don't think I'll be doing too much of that considering the consequences. I had one higway patrol exit the freeway and then pull up on my ass later that day. Lucky I saw him first! Sunday I picked up a friend for a run up higway 9 to Skyline. I was blown away having a black Bugatti Veyron pull along side, smile, wave, and we both exited to Saratoga. Wow I felt like I was driving a Honda Civic! Up to Skyline we went where various packs of crotch rockets came and went like it was a race! Tens of thumbs ups, nice car, waves honks etc.. Stopped at the cemetary at 92 and Skyline to pay my repects to my fallen college buddy. Is it wrong to take a Ferrari to the cemetary? I think he would have loved it. I got all choked up thinking about life and how things have worked out. Kinda put everything into a sharp perspective. Out to the parents house for dinner in the evening. Now I'm back at home preparing for the coming work week. Next weekend it's a run to Las Vegas where my brother and friends are flying in. I think the car is ready after flawless good behavior this weekend (200 miles of driving). I want to thank everybody here who gave advice while I was rebuilding the top end! Thank you so much, you gave me the confidence, and tips when I was second guessing myself. Long live The Brotherhood and will see you on the road or gatherings. Stay tuned as I will post some pics and let you know what worked when I had problems and was asking question as I left some threads hanging with no closure.
