Ok, don't flame me too bad on this but I was watching a Carcast yesterday with the Lambo Miura with gold tone knockoff wheels that looked really great and thought perhaps a GT4 with a similar wedge shape might look good with some vintage looking aluminum knockoffs. I found these at vintage wheels: ( the BR-17 style not the Shelby style)

I thought they looked pretty nice and not too bad a price. They come in 15 and 17 sizes and if I read it right they will custom drill an adapter in the proper bolt pattern. I like the gold-tone , too.
Could give it a vintage road-race look.

    Any thoughts?

You wouldn't happen to be speaking about Adam Carolla's orange Muira that he has on his website?

Not sure how/where you would be able to get the correct hubs.

Yeah, that's the one. Love that car.

About the hubs, I think it says they will custom drill hubs for an upcharge.

Both the BRM and the Halibrand replica wheels you see at Vintage Wheels are very good quality. They are the wheels most commonly used on GT40 replicas (like mine) and Cobra replicas (mostly the Halibrand style). They're 5-pin wheels (not splined) so you have to have the appropriate adapters with the 5 pins on the right circle. And, the hubs have to work with your discs and hubs/bearings and offset. Only one way to find out if it'll work (try it)!

Vintage Wheels has a good reputation and, yes, they'll work with you on some custom adapters if you give them the spec.

Man, your car is pretty! What's it build from?

I searched around can't seem to find any GT4 with knockoffs.

Thanks. It's a fun ride. Built in south Africa by CAV/Autofutura: http://www.cav.co.za/ It's a stainless steel monocoque with Ford V8 and fiberglass panels. Big bang to the buck factor. There are a bunch of good GT40 replica manufacturers including RCR, Superformance, Bailey Edwards, Tornado, etc. and all make a very good product. Here's a couple more pics with the Vintage Wheels replica Halibrands.

    Those are all peg-drive wheels.

You'll need to get the proper hubs machined.

I thought of knock-offs as well for the 308, and maybe it could be made to work with BB parts (I never checked) but it'll be an expensive job. Of course the BB hubs/splines won't work with the peg-drive wheels.

Cliff, CAV is around the corner (less than 10 miles) from me. They build an excellent product, but if anyone is interested, there's another one even closer to me:)
