Vettel needs to get on the Kimi program and drive. Traffic in practice what a shock Seb. World turns. I won't miss him at all. Seb your not MS and Ferrari are not in MS mode. Move on and drive, the commentary about practice traffic is useless.
Who of all those F1 drivers did not call someone else "idiot" or something similar before in the heat of the moment? As mentioned before: no story at all and even Alonso does not care because he knows he said same things in the past to others...But some "journalists" have to create a story out of it. I guess they want to make a story current Ferrari driver against former... PS: as you mentioned Kimi...he can be really rude on the radio as well
On the UK's Channel 4 coverage during free practice, their commentators were trying to claim that Vettel's comments about Alonso were part of a systematic dislike of Alonso within Ferrari, that started back when Alonso partnered Kimi. Basically they said that Kimi and Alonso didn't enjoy a good relationship within the team, and the team sided with Kimi, especially after Alonso left the team: "So this is just Vettel adding to the teams way of thinking!". Personally, I think that's some of the biggest load of c:censored:ap I've heard in a long time! I seriously doubt that Ferrari are deliberately nurturing some sort of a tradition of Alonso hatred within the team that Vettel is happily latching onto! I was watching the live coverage of the session and we did not see what exactly had irritated Vettel so much about Alonso's driving, but I suspect he felt that Alonso knew he was holding him up, and could have moved out of the way to allow Vettel to get on with his programme, but decided instead to make life a bit harder for the Ferrari driver, wasting both driver's time on track - Hence the "What an idiot!" comment. As for Alonso's comments about Vettel being frustrated at Ferrari, whilst there may be an element of frustration with Vettel, the comments that Alonso often makes concerning Ferrari and it's drivers tend to make Me think that he is using anything he can to try to justify to the World his leaving Ferrari to join McLaren - Kind of a way of saying: "See! - I was right to leave Ferrari!". Frankly, this whole "What an idiot!" situation is all a bit of a fuss over nothing really! As others have posted: "Must be a slow news day!"
Does no one ***** and complain about other drivers out on the highway? Race car driver or just a city traffic sitter, everyone *****es about other drivers. And I second the notion, why is this news worthy?
Alonso took a huge step backwards going back to McLaren so he has to justify it somehow by having a knock at Ferrari wherever he can! If, as seems more and more likely everyday, Ron Dennis is unceremoniously booted out of the team he loves, and if the 2017 McLaren is no better than the 2016 car, then it'll be: "Adiós Fernado!", and history will show that the move back to McLaren wasn't the smartest move Alonso ever made in F1!
Yes and Horner also said Vettel is not coming to Red Bull either. FA won how many titles at Ferrari??? Its simple Seb is a whiner and people sense his frustration and weakness and are talking about it. Seb might need to toughen up a bit. He ran out of Red Bull as soon as Ricci beat him. F1 is tough.
How well did Red Bull do after Vettel left? How did Ferrari do compared to Red Bull after Vettel joined them? Added to that, Vettel has never made it any secret that he wanted to drive for Ferrari, and as soon as Alonso announced he was leaving the Scuderia, Vettel knew it may be his only chance to go there so he jumped at the opportunity. Vettel is a whiner? - Under the right circumstances: Kimi is a whiner! Alonso is a whiner! Hamilton is a whiner! Verstappen is a whiner! Ricciardo is a whiner! Massa is a whiner! Bottas is a whiner! Etc., etc., etc. Even the likes of Rosberg and Button have been known to whine on the radio at times! Throughout all of the free practice sessions, all of the drivers have been "whining" about traffic issues and other drivers getting in their way spoiling their laps. As I've previously posted, the headline has been Vettel calling Alonso an idiot, but none of the stories have actually bothered to go into the details of why Vettel said it!
It's only a step backwards for Alonso if he ends his F1 career right now. If he wins next or any future season, would that be considered a huge step backwards? And to be honest, Ferrari really isn't a step forwards either...I haven't been seeing them winning any races either, not even a podium. As Senna once said, "Second is just the first one to lose."
And i think it's one thing to whine, and another to disrespect/insult another individual, especially so when said individual is a well-respected one up and down the grid. I think the same rules apply here on fchat.
People give too much importance to an expletive escaping in the heat of the moment. The detractors of Vettel, or Alonso, want to make mileage of it, when in fact it's insignificant.
Well, I think most of the drivers on the grid would like to be idiots with 2 WDC s to their name. Try to moderate your judgement; you may not like Alonso, but that doesn't make it an idiot. BTW, I don't like it much myself ...
Would that be the same "respected" driver who once deliberately sat stationary in the pit-box during a qualifying session, long after the team had told him to go, purely to screw over his team mate who was waiting behind him as time in the session was fast running out? (Here's a little reminder for you!: BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Formula One | Alonso punished for Hamilton move ) Don't try to make Alonso out to be some sort of driving Saint! - He's not beyond playing stupid, childish games to annoy/hamper others on track!
Mexican gp cont'd... Vettel: "Here's a message to Charlie, F* off, F* off!" Classy. Good thing Papa Arrivabene was able to calm the baby down. Still don't see a parallel in terms of Alonso or anyone else on the grid straight out cussing out at other drivers or calling them defamatory names etc.
I see some T-shirts coming... If Seb and Kimi keep coming out with those perls the merchandising can make up for the constructors' money loss
What are you talking about? Alonso has called idiot many people, including some of his own team. About Charlie, it's sad that the only one who said what everybody is really thinking was an out of control whinner: this episode will soon be forgotten, but Charlie will stay around f-ing everybody.
About time for Whiting to go. Made too many bad calls in all areas. Hopefully Brawn will do a better job...
