I have been driving my 246GT without a right side mirror for a few decades, but lately I have gotten a bit anxious about what might happen. I bought a correct round chrome mirror years ago but never mounted it because I didn't want to drill holes and I was OK without it. The PO installed a Vitaloni Baby Tornado mirror on the driver's side and I have left it because the mounting gasket has left an imprint in the paint and because I like actually having a mirror in which I can see something.

Does anyone have a correct round mirror on the passenger side? Seems like it would be so small you couldn't see past the rear fender anyway and would be useless.

I’m having the same issue. Recently bought a mirror from Dino parts that looks identical to the driver’s side one. Have been reluctant to drill holes, but may soon.

I fitted two side mirrors to my car 20 years ago and never regretted it one bit. Always use them for idiots that want to undertake you!!

How about a quarter light mounted mirror, no drilling simple to fit and remove.

I believe that mirror can be fitted to either side. Is the correct, or are there left and right versions?

On most race cars, I see a 'clip on' mirror that is mounted with a thumb screw / other,
on the upper part of the vent windows. Both sides. Look great.
Every car at Goodwood has them on. I have enquired, but no reply.

    Regards, Alberto

Tony, great link! Exactly the ones I saw.

As far as screwing the mirrors to the sheetmetal with sm screws, they are easily stripped.

I much prefer opening the door and a back up plate from the inside and nylocks.
Of course the damage can be greater if someone hits the mirror and as more support...
    well, you catch my drift.

    Regards, Alberto

The round style as in the attached photo is what is typical for the Dino. It is used on either side. [email protected] often has them in stock. Theirs is made in Italy in chrome-plated brass. Image Unavailable, Please Login A very nice product.

I've seen many that pit quite easily...not sure if that's caused by the base material or cheap chrome job.

I find the driver side mirror kind of hilarious - no mater how I tune its position ... I can see nothing ... oh yeah and there is no mirror on the passenger side

I just keep the roof off and turn around lol

That's partly why I haven't replaced the Vitaloni mirror on my drivers side. Even with that the view is not exactly expansive.I have ordered a matching Vitaloni passenger (R) side mirror and will likely mount that. Driving in LA with speeding SUVs and pickups can be anxiety producing.
