What are standard QV tire sizes front and rear??

    Hear alot about the upsize and as much as i thought upsizing would fill the fender gap i've come to think the fatter tires throw off the look of the car and want to get standard sizes. Got three pics to make my point visually.

    1st. pic is two fat tires front and rear 55 series??
    2nd pic. fat front and thin rear.
    3rd pic. two thin lower profile tires front and rear.

    What would be the tire size of the last pic??? front and rear

    Early QV's came with metric wheels (app. 15.4"). Not sure of the widths. The more common 16 inch wheels used 205/55 front and 225/50 rear. Both are very common sizes and there is a wide choice of tires. I had upsized tires on my 328 but went back to stock sizes. The car just drove better with them although wider tires do offer a little more ultimate grip.

    The common "upsizing" of 225/50-16's fronts and 245/45-16's rear does NOT use tires with TALLER sidewalls... just WIDER tread area so more rubber hits the road so you have better handling.

    So I take it the 308QV and 328 used the same wheel sizes and tire sizes ?

    225's are to wide for the gt4 in front and will bend the fender lip. The Gt4 has much less fender room above the tire

    so standard size for QV's with 16 inch wheels:

    Front: 205 55 16
    Rear: 225 50 16

    That is correct. Like hardtop, I went back to standard size and felt the car drove better with them.
