I'm getting ready to do the annual service on my 355, and after much searching of threads and further confusing myself, I was wondering if anyone could give a quick rundown of the consensus choice for what the best brand/type of fluids to use are these days? I figured while we are at it, just list them all so this thread could be a good one-stop reference for anybody getting ready to change any or all of their fluids.

There are a lot of people that know a hell of a lot about Ferrari's that don't own one. Almost all of the people at the factory for starters.

Choosing information sources is smart. Limiting it to owners is not.

I wldnt kill too many brain cells over this...for oil stick with mobil1, redline or amsoil....I really doubt there is a quality difference across those...most people use redline MTL or MT90 I think - don't remember what the 355 calls for....motul for break fluid and not sure about coolant

I run mobil 1 0w40 euro blend on the street for the higher zinc content. Royal purple for the track.

I'm curious as to different trans oils, redline isn't readily available around here but royal purple is. I like to support local business where possible, so curious if anyone has run the royal purple stuff with or without additive.

Also, I'm really leaning towards evans waterless coolant when I do a major next year, anyone have experience with that in their 355? I have it in my bmw and it's great, puts much less stress on the system due to low pressure. I can pull the radiator cap off when the car is running at full temperature and there's no boil over and only a little pressure in the system.

Interesting idea with the coolant. I've never heard of that before. I can't imagine how it could cause any problems, unless its cools too well. ;) My car runs a touch towards the cool side anyway.

I've been using the Mobil 1 0w40 so far as well, but have heard several people have switched to Motul 5w40 lately. And of course lots of people seem to use redline.

I am leaning towards trying redline in the gearbox.
