Looking at 08 and 09 Scuds. Can you guys tell me what options I should know about? I know that the carbon package on 08s became standard in 09. Can see the difference in interior materials, fire ext. What else do I need to know about? Thanks!

A lot of past options came STD by 09. Carbon package, fully trimmed trunk, carbon steering wheel with LED's.,radio nav with blutooth. Mine has Leather Upholstery, rosso scuderia brake calipers, grey racing stripe, special stitching and fire extinguisher as options. Exterior color rosso scuderia. I love the full leather and it was a 5K upgrade for the first owner. The stripe makes the car and cost him an additional 8K and also special stitching. Glad I didn't have to write the check for these options. But if I was looking for another 09 Scud it would be finished exactly the same way. The only thing I miss is that it didn't come with an i pod connection or upgraded stereo.

    Scott,

for the 09 Scud, there was a tire recall by Pirelli. Make sure and check this out with dealer to see if they have been replaced. If the car has fewer than 600 miles on it Pirelli only replaced the rear tires, more than 600 miles and they replaced them all.

Because the car is so loud with no carpeting, every rock and dust particle is heard below your seat, this makes the radio a little hard to hear IMO and therefore, not a worthy option as far as cost. It's a great car right out of the box.

Thats why I miss it! I like to hear a little music every once and a while. Can't hear a damn thing with the standard sound system. Constantly listenening to the gravel bounce off the floor pan does get a little annoying from time to time. However, on the track the only music I need is coming from the engine bay.

Sounds like an 09 is the way to go. Thanks for the tire info- that's important. I don't care about the stereo- never really used it in the CS. I like hearing the rocks and no carpets and loud exhaust/engine sounds.

its a great car on the road or track.
the pebbles and rock noise isnt that bad, you are going to be avoiding roads with alot of stones on it anyways. be careful the plastic center caps on the wheels sometimes melt at high speeds on the track.
