Black Friday Shopping is coming. As always, it tastes like dead... I want to know what every one is planning to buy. Here is my shopping list. http://www.geocities.com/fredgy127/Hot_1.pdf LOL. Any feedback is welcome.
Nothing, I'm done with the holiday shopping. As for Black Friday, it's all hype just to move some unsold crap from last year.
Any electronic device that looks like a good deal. In my case, probably a TV I'll give to someone for Christmas...or keep for myself depending on the size. It's too bad I can't find any jewelry stores who do deals on Black Friday...would really be helpful on the wallet.
The big thing for me and my parents, this year is a new tv. Here's the list: Sears: 40" Sony 1080p HD LCD TV (KDL40W3000) 1399$ <------ great price for it. doorbuster Best Buy: Philips 1080p Upconverting DVD Player with DIVX support 49.99$ Western Digi 500gb Ext. Hard Drive 99.99 LG 20x INternal DVD burner w/ Lightscribe 34.99 Sam's Club: 12 feet HDMI 1.3 cable [Belkin PureAV] 24.38 (Best Buy's cheapest HDMI cable is a POS Dynex for 59, and Belkin makes good quality things) -----------------------------------------
Yeah..order a new Ferrari and only pay $50K over sticker.... What are stores like on black friday? I have never been but would really like to go pick up a new tv. Anyone know of any good websites showing the deals for that day? The only one I know of is http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com
I went to Circuit City last year. We went there around 11pm and were first in line, within an hour there were 30 people in line. By 2am there were probably 100. The super special laptop deal I got they had 40 of them, so you really had to be there at or before Midnight to get it. I would say if there is something you REALLY want, get there at midnight or so. The stores open from 4am to 6am, so you won't wait THAT long. Just bring something warm!
I thought I was gonna spend Blackfriday at home watching videos of people running each other over at Wal-marts across the country.....But I need some Western Digital externals for the business! $70 for a 160gb! 15 per store....how many people could possibly want one?
Monster Cables are crap! I've never had on of their S video cables last me over 6 months. The pins always end up breaking.
woot.com is a site tha offers one product a day but they hae woot offs and wen one item sells out they put a new one up. linda hard to understand i guess, i would suggest checkin them out. ive bought a few things and have benn happy thus far
Amazon.com has a toshiba HD DVD player, the HD-A3 for $197 with 10 free HD DVD's 2 in the box, 3 free upon check out and 5 free with a mail in rebate
I'm not going shopping either. I have everything I want so I don't see a need for me to shop that day. I'd rather pay $50+ more instead of going shopping with tons of people. That just irritates me.
Darn it, I paid $199 for the same deal! I was going to wait out the Blu-ray/HD wars, but this was too good a deal. Unpacked it tonight, and compared the same movie in HD vs upconverted DVD. It looks slightly better in HD, but not sure if buying regular movies in HD is worth the extra price. But I am going to buy Planet Earth, Blue Planet, March of the Penguins, and a few other nature films in HD. I love nature films in high def. The menu system is great! (BTW, for reference, I have a Samsung 40" 1080i TV)
My favorite sites are; www.slickdeals.net , i post there only a little bit, and www.fatwallet.com, gotten a bunch of free stuff. Im looking at buying a PS3 at walmart with 10 free blurays.
My good sir you are wrong! The 160gb WD is a tiny USB powered external, which is easily taken anywhere you go on shoots. I lugged a big one around last year and am not doing that again next year!
I went out and bought me and the Ms. a new Dyson DC-14 vacuum. No sale, bought it before BF and am proud!! The thing sucks like it's wearing a skirt! RMX
Went out to BF this morning. Scored the Best Buy Doorbuster Laptop (Sony Vaio) for 399.99 <---- awesome build quality, but I'll stick with my Macbook. It's for my parents then, scored the Doorbuster Staples Compaq Laptop for 349.99, Went to Sears, and got a Bravia 40" 1080p LCD for 1399! Then went back to Best Buy, after the stupid lines, and scored a Philips 1080p upconverting DVD player w/ DIVX and USB support for 49. I think I did pretty well this year
