Good choice You know, after these few more CDs I get for christmas that I dont know about...I will have 150 CDs of Mozart alone
I am a huge opera fanatic myself, I can only say La Nozze Di Figaro or Don Giovanni are the only Mozart in my collection. All DVD Audio in DTS. That is to say aside from Bartoli.
"IM LISTENING TO MY WIFE YELL AT MY 16 YR OLD BECAUSE HE IS TEASING MY 9 YR OLD.............IN STEREO" Damm Bruce I did not know that you refered to DES as your "9 year old"!!! That is real nice give him a car and now adopt him into your family. That is the X-Mas spirit at work. As for music while i have not been a big fan of them up to this point the new Korn CD is starting to grow in myself. Rob Guess "The Other Rob"
NEIL YOUNG : AFTER THE GOLD RUSH ELTON JOHN : BROWN DIRT COWBOY ROLLING STONES: BEGGARS BANQUET DAVID BOWIE : HUNKY DORY CSN&Y : 4 WAY STREET That's what's in the player right now

I'm now listening to Radio 538, a commercial Dutch RadioStation. I sometimes listen to Radio Veronica: Adam Curry (...) and for music: top40, rock, hardrock, eighties, sixties...I like almost everything...some highlights: 'The Doors', 'Nirvana', 'Guns 'n' Roses', 'Pink Floyt', 'Metalica',...etc etc. I even like rap/ R&B...
Best jam I've heard all year, I saw them of Austin city limits. Can't wait until they come to Texas again.
Today at work: Led Zeppelin: "How the West Was Won" disc 3 White Stripes: "DeStijl" and the 5.19.03 show from Berlin Depeche Mode: "Violater" Clapton: "Unplugged"
I've seen them a few times- never alone though- the first being at a DMB concert in which he opened up and then joined Dave for "All along the Watchtower"- and then at the Jammys (which is the jam band grammys) where Jon Meyer and John Popper (Blues Traveler) jumped on to jam... They're tons of fun to watch, very entertaining and catchy..
I'm really into the White Stripes right now. There's another group out that was on SNL or Leno or somewhere that has a hit with the same sound, I need to find out who.
Gilles, you lucky dog!!! The Aragon is a sweet venue. I wish I was going-can't think of a better way to spend New Years. Jack's finger isn't completly healed, but I hear he's wailing. And Meg is well, Meg! I had front row tix at their 11.29 show, but my post office dropped the ball and failed to deliver the tickets, instead sending them back to ticketmaster Rob, I bet the band your thinking of is JET out of Australia. Their single can be heard on one of the ipod commercials. "I say 1,2,3, tell me how it's gonna be...." Meg White;yes please!
My wife actually turned me onto White Stripes when White Blood Cells came out. I was wondering about the finger--I know how long it takes for something like that to feel 100%.
Don Giovanni is my favorite! Ive got all the Mozart operas including his first few that he wrote when he was 8. Good stuff! Most of them are recorded by historically accurate orchestras of course --wouldnt have it any other way Mozarts operas were his best works! He was the most passionate about his operas as well. Anyway, to keep with the thread, Im listening to another Mozart opera now --The Magic Flute
I haven't met any that know Mazzy Star. Now I have, cool! 311 I stumbled on to, can't argue with proficiency and talent even though I can't stand rap, they do their thing well!. Today it's the Cowboy Junkies (My favorite Canukians from Toronto), Enigma 3 and Live V DJ
