I've moved on to Default this afternoon with Fuel a la mode.
My free Sirius trial expired last Friday. Listened to a bunch of Canadian bands, nobody knows outside of Canada. Didn't think I'd miss Sirius. But by Sat renewed. Back to flipping between the 70's, 80's and 90's top 40 hits channels.
Default, hadn't heard them in a long time. You didn't waste your time did you? I actually have that album, but don't think I've ever listened to it. I'm still on my Hardcore kick with Poison The Well and Hopesfall. Rock bands are really the best bands to see live. The energy is always intoxicating. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV-6jsofK8E[/ame]
Yessssssssssss. Good s*%^ "But I adore her..." That and 'Nerdy' live circa 2003, so good. PTW are good dudes
I will always remember the first hardcore song/band my friend introduced me to and I was hooked. That song was From Autumn To Ashes - Short Stories With Tragic Endings. The intro is so good! Melanie Willis adds such a great dynamic to the song. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tiAEFdNxvc[/ame] Even though the band changed a little from their original sound, I love all of their albums. And now that they're slowing touring, I hope they at least make it to Austin. I'll make the drive to see them live.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLiYeSGTNL8[/ame] The album version is a little slower, a little more tense.
The guitar sounds and lines . . . reminds of all those bands that were influenced/emulating Zeppelin.
Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats...saw em at Bowery Ballroom here in NYC last week... Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats: S.O.B. - The Tonight Show Play it LOUD
Talented guy, but definitely not my cup of tea. I felt like I needed to be swinging a hammer on some railroad ties.
We may be way similar than I first thought haha. I saw FATA in 2002, the OE lineup, CRAAAAAAAANK hardcore at Warped. Hooked from there. Saw them about 9 times over the next few years, mainly up in New England. Great guys, awesome sound.
Today I'm listening Rob Zombie on Pandora. Ken , I hope you are well bro and happy Veterans Day . Thank you for your service.
Thanks Kirk !! I do it out of love for my flag Zombie's a good one! I finally got a Danish radio station going here. Turned up so Johnny Cash today! Wahhhoooo
That' awesome! The only band from the Northeast I've been able to see live was Boy Sets Fire. Still likely the best concert I've ever seen with only 50 people at most in attendance at a little coffee shop here in Houston. Stood right next to the speakers right in front of the stage. Slept about 2 hours that night before getting up for work the next day, ears still bleeding!
'This Bastard's Life' by Swingin' Utters. For some reason that album was awol on Spotify for a couple weeks.
Ok, you whippersnappers, and your angst ridden grunge rock, it's time for old school! 😀 This came on the radio while I was running errands. Always loved the keyboard work on this song. Groovy! http://youtu.be/7JM2ghmhGk0 I didn't realize Zombies also did... http://youtu.be/_2hXBf1DakE and http://youtu.be/EVXXDfGC50M T
Today I'm listening to White Zombie. Supersexy Swingin' Sounds. Real trippy music. Check out Electric Head pt. 2
Steppenwolf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awSfH3Q_bks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvQKW2n90J0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mSObloKjyU These three are like the first 3 holes of the back nine at Grossinger's GC
Watched a documentary on Pink Floyds Wish You Were Here album yesterday. Ended up listening to the album last night. Since I was in a British rock group mode, this morning I've been listening to Dire Straits album Brothers In Arms.
