'Bad Girlfriend' by Theory of a Deadman.
Great choice. Susanna Hoffs, back in the day (heck even today!), muy caliente! Seriously though, among the various girl bands of the era, they really seemed to know their craft, and were more than just pretty faces...T
You're thinking of the Bangels, Tom. I was around 5 when they were big and she was definitely one of my first crushes.
Pearl Jam , tonight coming home from the gym. Belinda Carlisle was hot in her day. Anyone have a recent photo ?
Going a little old school... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MZ_gc2eITk And.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNKVyoG-AUk And.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNqATBMH6IM Man those were some good times.
It's day before Thanksgiving, driving with the top down (73 F in Dallas) in the wife's Benz. On the radio, this... http://youtu.be/ZDwotNLyz10 Followed by this... http://youtu.be/n4nPa35CZPI Followed by another great jam that I can't recall now due to enjoying a bottle of Nouveau Beaujolais with my lady. Oooh, I remember now. Purple Haze by Jimi! 😊 http://youtu.be/cJunCsrhJjg Lots to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Hoping everyone has a big pile of blessings to be thankful for. T
Did you just confess to driving while intoxicated by amore you naughty, randy dog? Wishing you and your family a big steaming pile of blessings as well. Did my intended humor come through or will I get another vacation? I kid, I'm a kidder.
Guilty on the amore part. Wife was driving, while I handled the important jobs of navigating, flipping the bird to disclcourteous drivers, and working the radio! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Gregg. Hey this just came on... http://youtu.be/X_eK9ERNChI Great song, although I still prefer The Band's version...T
I man after my own heart! Thank you. Hard to find fault with such a classic song. I dig this song (sorry if it is a repost).... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myc_RViTHhY This one always strikes a chord for me as I remember like it was yesterday looking out that same window... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJWk_KNbDHo And last but not least some classic Elton John.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8Ply9RUT-0
Fitzgerald came up on the Christmas singers thread/poll. I bumped into this excerpt from the American Masters on her: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2bigf337aU[/ame] In the same documentary, famed pianist Oscar Peterson said that every once in a while Ella would sing acapella on the tour bus. When she did, a bus full of seriously seasoned jazz musicians would be mesmerized/immobilized.
Got to see Willie Nelson last night, in concert. Man, for 82 he can still play that guitar. He played all his big hits, except Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. He dedicated Good Hearted Woman to Waylon Jennings. One of my faves from his set... Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground. http://youtu.be/C3PB1jWO3_E T
In 1989 I saw The Bangles perform at the opening of the segment of Beltway 8 between Interstate 10 (Katy Freeway) and U.S. Route 290. Was probably 30-50ft off the ground and the huge crowd dancing around had the thing swaying, it was a tad scary. Hoffs is so hot.
The wifi was decent enough to rock some YouTube today Bon Iver- Blood Bank And Explosions in the Sky albums
Xmas tunes!! 😀 I've always liked this song: Baby It's Cold Outside. It's a nice ditty, but if you listen to the lyrics a bit closer, it's kind of naughty! http://youtu.be/7MFJ7ie_yGU T
