Not to mention being a heroin addict and I am not saying he was still using only that he could have done irreversible damage to his heart and/or other organs when he was still hardcore. Someone I had known since junior high school (30+yrs) was a huge crack head for decades and then he got sober, had almost 1yr clean, and he died of a massive heart attack while taking a nap after lunch and he was only 42yrs old.
