I think already mentioned here. My Dads biggest client bought a building in Vancouver's Gastown district in the 1980's. The building had a large bar. He turned the management of the bar over to his two sons. They did live bands every night. Since Seattle is close, they'd bring in bands from there. I saw both Pearl Jam and Nirvana at the Town Pump at least two years before they made it big. Both put on a great show.

The client bought a few hotels around Vancouver and in Burnaby, he also owned two hotels in Whistler. Anyway, he then took over a penny stock with a casino license for pennies on the dollar. Made the company private. Put casinos in his hotels. 15 years later he sold the casino's for over a billion. His family still owns the hotels.

I never did care for Pearl Jam. Didn't hate them by any stretch of the imagination though.

Bro , they are a great band. The drummer Matt Cameron is my friends nephew. When we see them we sit on the stage with them for the show which is always a treat.

Been listening to "Girls Chase Boys" by Ingrid Michaelson lately.

 

Today I'm listening to Greenleaf on Pandora. This music is new to me. I'm not sure what to make of it yet. The recordings sorta suck fidelity wise.
