Heard some Kurt Vile the other day and was looking for more of his music. Courtney Barnett I kind of like too. Found this and am checking it out...
This guy is so damn talented. And apparently from the comments, John Mayer did the guitar for Mac Miller for this song. Mayer just sang over his chords.
Wow, I haven't heard Lucious Jackson in ages. Used to have a bunch of their stuff too. Thanks for the reminder.
I was listening to NPR (yes, national proletariat radio) and they had a segment on a new book about the Beastie Boys. Having never listened to their music and my age (over 50), that might not surprise you. Being young in spirit, I immediately went to Apple Music and listened to License to Ill (I think that is right). The rest of my 3 hour drive was spent listening to these guys. And yes, the targa was off.
Last four days of posting, as I retire on Thursday aged 65 from Work and F-Chat. With three Satellite Dishes and four decoders at home, I will not be bored. How Can You Do It Alone - The Who Face Dances - March 1981 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Vaya con Dios in the next stage of your life, NEP! I've always enjoyed your music posts. You got a great eye for the modern classics...T
I love Brazilian music. The first keeper I ever wrote was a Bossa Nova that is now Aria Nova in a sonata for two guitars. The first Brazilian piece that hooked me was Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendez and Brasil 66. This is a video synched very well with the studio recording. Just love it.
