I see you have all the good Alfa 8C books. Off topic I love the new Alfa books by Patrick Dasse and Martin Ubelher. I hope he continues with the T33 series as was planned. Fantastic books. So what's your next Maserati book? Maybe open wheel GP racing Maserati's?
As president of the swedish Maserati club I am also the custodian of the club archive. We have many interesting old books. Here are som exemplet. This one was given as a gift from the factory when a group of club members visited in May 1976. It is in Italian and covers only racing cars.
This one is even more interesting(to me) as it covers the road cars with a 1976 perspective. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This one is also from 1976, from 400 pages only the last 35 covers the road cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've got all of those in my library except for the car kit. I do have a lot of 1:43 maserati models and some larger than that.
Hello fellow bookworms, since you are deep into library talk here you can probably shed some light on a question i have for a while now: Since i have most of the general "run of the mill" Maserati books mentioned here i am still searching a book about the Mexico especially. Do you know of any book especially dedicated to the Mexico? I could not find anything, there seems to be nothing out there, just some pages here and there in the general books. Any suggestions (perhaps older out of print ones)? Cu lbird
We all love books. But until there is one, this is your best source: http://www.mexico-registry.com. There is a Quattroporte book, though (edited by Maserati itself), more on digital media: tipo107.com
Good surprise us. Judging by what you have done so far an A6GCS book can't be far off. Leave Maserati F1 for another day.
I have the Revell kit and three RC Boras in silver, red and black. Some toy supplier here in the USA had a stash of them years back and I bought some. I also have one of the Maserati Birdcage 75th radio controlled that's also operated by some now obscure Motorola flip phone.
This is my only book on Maserati, covers one of my favorite periods in racing Image Unavailable, Please Login

I wonder which one is the rarest of all Maserati books. I once read that most of the first Finn books were destroyed as the printer's bill wasn't paid. But even if the story is true, I think that the Schwartz book is probably the rarest. What do you think?
Yes the Schwartz book is very rare, I saw two on ebay in the 90's and got the second one. Never saw one on the market again or before that. However the rarest of all is one of Severo Boschi's books: Maserati, Storia di una grande casa. Last copy I saw on a day I was shopped out was 800 Euros. The most beautiful in terms of layout is Vittorie 1926-1964 Maserati published by the factory. Four figure price.
Reading all the post on the books in a Maserati library and just now reading about rare ones, I looked through my library and I found that I have the Schwartz book and also the Severo Boschi book, Maserati, Storia do tuna grande casa. I also have two of the Severo Boschi books, Il Tridente storia della Maserati in my library. Another rare item is a small, 95mm by 170mm, paper item titled, Maserati, A Coys of Kensington Marque Profile by David McKinney, published in 1990, 40 pages long covering the history of the company from the beginning up to the Typo 123, the V-6 Quattropote II.. Don't asl where I found it but it's part of my Library from way back.
Not a book but I bought this about a year ago and can say it is superb. They don't do that many prints I want but when they do boy do they go overboard. I also bought the Pan Am 356 print wich is an amazing quality print with added elements. Now if we could only get them to do more vintage and less modern F1 They also made a Mille Miglia A6GCS print wich is not as pretty and a few Maserati open wheel and MC20 prints. This was a perfectly nice copy of the Hans Tanner book, until some mice discovered a liking for the glue in its spine. I hope the sticker price wasn't the actual price I've paid for it a Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ouch, very sad...Even more so as that book more often than not is to be found with the dust sleeve missing.
