sadly, I stopped shooting quite a while ago, so I havent upgraded my equipment, and it's way more than enough for the occasions that I do bring it out and snap some pictures. D70 17-55dx f/2.8 70-200VR f/2.8 24-120VR, f/4.5-5.6 50mm 1.8 for video i have a Canon XL1s with the zoom lens -- i really need to find a good price on the wide lens.
Just recently bought a Nikon D200 with VR 18-200mm lens. Ive already taken 1000 pictures (5-6 fps helps), but mainly of nothing in particular. Just practicing with it at the moment. Its my first DSLR camera, quite a few things to get used to. But so far Im extremely happy with it. Would recommend it.
Just bought a Nikon D60 few weeks ago. Love it, went to a car event and loved it more. I bought the body for $550 and the Nikkor 18-135mm for $320. Here are some photos. Nope, I wish it had VR when your at 135mm, but am not complaining too much about not having VR, you would need it for the 18-200 since 200 is really where you need the VR kicking in. And for 320 bucks you cant expect to much. But it is as fast or i think even faster than the 18-200 VR and it is as sharp or even sharper than the 18-200 VR. Pictures come out great though. This lens does have a bit of distortion if you care, when shooting cars you cant notice, but i was at the beach and the horizon was pretty badly distorted. The pic I attached was the worse one i found of the day. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nikon D300 Selection of 2.8 constant maximum apperature lenses plus a few other lenses that together cost too much for me to post here in the event my wife reads it
About 2 weeks ago I recieved: D80 18-70 3.5-4.5 70-300 VR 4.5-5.6 50mm 1.8 SB600. My first SLR, and if you are looking for one, just skip the D40 and D60. You know that you will want to upgrade to the D80 eventually. If you don't want the much bigger size of the 30 and 40D, or the lack of build quality in the Rebel series, this is what you want. Superb image quality, very fast speed unless you are doing sports professionally. Very satisfied Thanks
I've had a Canon XTi. Just ordered a 40D, should be here tomorrow. 17-40mm F/4L 50mm F/1.4 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS, which i need to replace with a 70-200 F/2.8L.
I got my Nikon D50 3 years ago and i still like it.I also added to it some $800 Zigma lens so it is pretty fine for casual photography.May upgrade in the future, but i am still waiting a worthy replace. When bought i was tied between the D80 & D50,eventually went with the D50 because i found it instock,a bit cheaper and lighter.
Rumor has it Nikon is releasing a D700 to compete with the Cannon 5D. I shoot with a Nikon D200 and usually have my 18-200VR lens strapped to it. I'm saving for either the 80-200 or the more expensive 70-200 VR Chris
Thanks. I'm going to start out with the 50mm f/1.2L. I've always wanted that lens since it came out. Later on I probably look at the 24-105, 16-35 II, 70-200, 100-400, etc. It just shipped today, and it should be here by Friday.
