Nikon D-80
Just came home with a D90. I have not used the video mode yet but looking forward to it. BTW, if anyone is interested found a 10% off coupon at Best Buy. This time it actually works for all TVs and DSLRs. I will send link if anyone planning on a BB purchase this week (expires 31st).
If you want 10% off Best Buy's (and similar stores)camera prices all the time just shop at B+H or Adorama. But that's cool that it works for everything! Tell us what you think of it!
Just took some pictures of my dogs running around the yard chasing a tennis ball.. at night. great pics
I can never settle for one camera or even format Most of the time I shoot with my Nikon D300 with a variety of lense. When I want to go 35mm film, I shoot my Nikon 8008s - great camera. When I feel like medium format 6x6 film I shoot my Holga (my favorite cam) And when I'm in the "taking it slowly" mood I shoot my 4x5 Calumet Cambo with a 210mm lens. (Don't like the Cambo though - gonna look for a Horseman or Sinar)
I shot some video and pics on the D90 at my son's hockey game last night. Hockey is usually very difficult to shoot ( low light, very fast) but the D90 is almost too easy. Fantastic pics and the video is unbelievable. The ability to shoot video on a DSLR using the same lens is awesome. I highly recommend one.
make that four, im also at a local community college as a sophomore. Photo classes are great (for the threads sake) i shoot with a Canon rebel XTi, love it.
Make that five ... But I have still photography as my major ...... Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara.
i just bought a nikon cool pix S550 10.0 mp for under $200.oo. i needed a good cheap workhorse camera that was small, and this is great buy. i still have a nikon 2500 coolpix that has to be 5-6 years old that still works. its taken over 10,000 pics according to my records, with no maintenance or failures.
Im really interested in the Sigma DP1, supposedly one of the first small bodies with SLR quality. Anyone have any advice or reviews? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Chris
You will not regret purchasing the 18-70! It is very sharp and has great build quality. It should be much easier to use than the 18-55 you had before. Thanks
Nikon F4, thought about getting an f5, but i just didnt like the idea of an lcd screen to control it. is it just me or is anyone else disheartened by 99% of responses from people own a digital camera Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just bought a Leica M8. Long time Leica film rangefinder user, first time digital...love that Leica feel...not unlike a fine Ferrari!
I think I posted that I upgraded to a 40D a few months ago but I just ordered my first "L" glass, 17-40mm f4 should be here next week and a 70-200mm f2.8 will hopefully be under the tree on the 25th!
I've got a Canon Rebel XTi but I'm currently saving up for a 5D... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was viewing your photos on your flickr yesterday, you have a lot of great pictures! I am in the same position as you, got a XTi and am saving up for a camera as well, but not 5D... 50D.
I bought a Xti and a XSi about 2 or 3 months ago, but just picked them up in Houston last week, I need to sell one to pay my credit card bill. so: If I keep the xti I will get more $$$ for the bank, but a lower quality camera? if I keep the Xsi, I will get less $$$ and more interest in my bill, but get a better camera? what would you do? I need your advice. Best regards Ever
