Yeh got it .....one visor has white stitching and the other red!!!! Classic...what to do Dr? What does the dealership say? Cheers
The dealership laughed and said a new one will be on it's way soon. I doubt if there are any real inspections done before shipping??!!
So someone who ordered red stitching now has a visor with white stitching. Wonder if they have noticed it yet.
I would leave it that way. Gives it character. Just get documentation that a replacement was provided and keep the replacement with the car.
That is pretty funny! Someone in the QA inspection department just got a dressing down today. Luckily, easy to fix.
I remember seeing a hummer h2 that was a dealer demo that they claimed arrived with cloth interior and a leather drivers' seat. Go figure
Personally, for the money paid for these cars, I think that this is 100% UNACCEPTABLE. We are supposedly paying a premium for an exceptional car, one that tons of care and attention to detail was put into at the factory. I would have an absolute coronary with my dealer and FNA if my car didn't come with shields after I had ordered it. I realize that you can cause a major fuss and turn down the car, but then you have to sit and wait for a new one. I would tell them that I am taking the shieldless car, not paying for it, and driving it until my car with shields shows up, as I ordered. Granted, I think your car turned out great regardless. The biggest concern for me is that if they can miss something so obvious as the shields, or even the visor... could they have forgotten a proper torque of the wheels, or an integral bolt on a brake caliper? It is just something that really irks me and FNA should be EXTREMELY disappointed about.
This car was ordered at the Atelier in Maranello - I have spend some serious money designing and ordering a no compromise car - so absence of Shields is unacceptable although I am having second thoughts that the car may be more unique without the shields...but that is not the point here.. The dealer tells me that he can install the Shields but it will cost 'ME' a lot of money... I haven't seen him yet but when I do I will be telling him that otherwise...I am in manufacturing myself and we make highly technical products and I understand mistakes can happen BUT it is how you take care of the customer after the mistake happens is the key..
Is a Ferrari. If you want perfection, buy a Lexus. Ferrari is a super model mistress play toy, extremely hot and make you scream in bed, cost an arm and a leg, but tons of flaws. Lexus is a perfect house wife girl next door, cook and clean and does everything perfectly, very low cost but extremely boring.
HK Boy 10+ One thing you forgot to add You always come back for more Life is 2 short not to drive a Ferrari
Funny you say that - when I whined to my dealer about the missing shield I also write that I want to book the F12 Berlinetta. I also have a tuned (700 up) Porsche turbo and introduce it to my friends as my wife - and my 458 Coupe as my mistress. Life is too short not to drive a Ferrari.
As long as people are so forgiving, Ferrari has no motivation to improve their product or quality control. What is unacceptable in a Lexus at 100 K should be all more so in a Ferrari at three times the price. Stop making excuses for mediocrity.
Stuff happens. Lighten up. It's fixable and frankly a little funny. As long as humans put cars together, humans will make a few mistakes here and there. I'd rather have an imperfect yet special human touch over robot perfection any day.
