My '85 QV has black needles with white tips. Little, tiny white tips. With the roof off, and my sun glasses on, I can't see the damn things. Don't know if I'm outta gas or even how fast I'm going. So, I'm thinking of sending them off to someone like Classic Instruments and get them changed to orange. If I do this will I be drummed out of FerrariChat?

I have the same problem - I'm at that age where I need reading glasses, and the damn things are impossible to see. I have upgraded them to LEDs, so night time not such a problem.

BTW, I have the typo problem too.

I was surprised for a minute looking at your picture, thinking that the speedometer and tachometer were in the wrong locations (reversed)... then I realized you are in Hong Kong, and that picture is probably from a right hand drive car! Whew!

Dave, thank you for your response and previous posting. I love what you did, and especially the silver dash cover. I may stick with the Veglia gauges and just change the needles as I had a bad experience with VDO on a previous car, not that Veglia is any better. But again, yours look great. I'm not much of a night driver - gotta get those cataracts fixed - so I am embarrassed that I did not realize the OEM gauges had green needles even though I have had the car for 3 years. This will be winter project, when I'm not shoveling snow. Yes it does snow in California.
