can anybody accurately and with 100% certainty identify this color: http://www.daidegasforum.com/images/1481/ferrari-458-speciale-grey.jpg more pics are here: Photo Of The Day: Grey Ferrari 458 Speciale in the Wild thanks...
also this is the same car: https://www.flickr.com/photos/109791723@N07/14170274802 i am thinking Grigio Scuro but i am only 80% sure.
It looks like Grigio Scuro to me, too, though I admit the lighting makes it look darker than Scuro typically looks in direct light. That gunship green undertone is typical of Scuro. CdF has a brown base, which this does not seem to have, and Ferro has a more liquid looking application. That said, not 100% sure. Brett
i don't think it is CdF - i was looking at this 360 CS in CdF for reference and they are way different. like SpykerBAS said, CdF has a brown base to it: 2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale for Sale i found some more better pictures of this Portuguese 458 Speciale on the web: https://www.flickr.com/photos/109791723@N07/14170274802 https://www.flickr.com/photos/pinegraphy/15310049505 https://flic.kr/p/p3p3y5 this one is Grigio Medio for reference: Andoniscars | passion for excellence
sorry guys, I been looking at pictures of Scuro and Medio non-stop for the past few days as my build will soon freeze. one quick follow up: on this video it says Grigio Medio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAhv5OBgIUE on this video it says Grigio Scuro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtjQNF8vqqA yet to me both videos colors look the same. am i missing something? weird lighting? mis-labeled youtube video?
OK, here's the millionth opinion but I honestly believe I'm correct Portuguese Speciale is Grigio Scuro, I have no doubt about it. The first link to flickr proves it 100%. In recent moths I've spent quite a lot of time trying to discern Medio from Scuro, looking for pictures and vids everywhere, as well as my own pictures and observation. The other references in this thread are also correct IMO: The 458 Italia by Jason Thorgalsen is a well known Medio. The youtube 458 italia is also Medio but a low light setting. The YT 599 GTO is most probably Scuro as they state but an indoor light setting. Grigio Scuro has a brown hue to me, whereas medio lacks it. Also, it's clearly not metallic so Ferro, CdF, etc. are out of the question. So yeah, I'm still set on Grigio Scuro for the Portuguese Speciale, 110% Hope that helped.
