I'm speccing a 458. What is the best colour choice for the side sills on a Rosso Corsa/Nero car with dark grey sports wheels, shields and yellow calipers?

My understanding is that with Red your only choice is black (actually, a dark gray in my opinion) or nothing.

I suggest this "black". It makes the car look lower and more dynamic.

Just as a note, some don't like the colored calipers on this car with the thin spoke wheels. Silver works better as the spokes are very small and the calipers really big. Silver tends to show off the wheels better. But, each to their own.

I believe there's only one choice for the sills: black or the external color of the car, all round. From the photos I've seen, I think black sills work best on yellow and white 458s, especially if they have the optional, black roof. The sills then tie it all together. In your case, seems to me that black sills will work ok with roso corsa, especially if the wheels are to be dark. In my case, I'm going with an out of range metallic blue color with silver wheels and have declined the black sills as I don't think they will tie anything together but, rather, will be diversionary, taking away from the flow of the car. Much has to do with personal taste, of course. I've also opted for yellow callipers as I think they work fine with the silver sport wheels on a blue car.

Congrats on your Italia. I kmow your question is about the sills. But I noticed you have chosen yellow calipers. Does the yellow match the fender shields?
Somehow I recall that the two yellows do not match.

    Maybe Grigio calipers? Or Black?

Red with shields and yellow calipers? I never got that! Do the sills black though.

OK, I'll option the sports sills. Just one more damn thing to add to the price. I like the yellow calipers but maybe I should rethink to red or silver...

    Decisions, decisions.....:D

Coloured callipers work fine if you go for the sports wheel in the dark grey finish IMHO. This wheel colour also blends better with the painted sports sill option. Here are yellow and red callipers on rosso corsa with the optional sports rims in grey 356/C3 option.

Yellow calipers are good with rosso corsa and so are the black sills. Perfect combo IMO.

The optional sill color depends on the exterior color. On yellow and silver colors, the sport sills are black. On all other colors, the sills are a dark graphite color as seen on the rosso corsa car pictured above.

If you do a search, you will find someone posted the ordering guide which explains this.

Note that the color of the front winglets will vary in the same way to match the sills, based on the body color. This is not specified in the ordering guide, but was confirmed by my dealer.
