The sound seems to be coming from the general vicinity of the alternator. It is not the alternator the water pump or the A/C as the sound is present even with all the belts removed. The timing belts and bearings are new. The sound starts as a chirping or squeaking sound. When the car gets warmer it starts to sound more like a grinding sound.

Oh, bummer. One possibility - I hope it isn't the ball bearing just behind the lower timing belt pulley. It is a sealed bearing - it gets no lubrication from the engine like the inner one does. When the bearing really fails, the shaft can wobble around, and will leak oil past the oil seal onto the floor. (Guess how I know?) Got a leak yet? I sure hope I'm wrong. There was a recent thread, though, on how to replace this bearing with the engine still in the car, if you have to. -Steve

    Hi GeoMetry.
It almost sounds like a bearing may be starting to fail ?
I am in the middle of repairing/replacing failed bearings myself in the general vincinity of where you hear this sound. I'm not sure if your problem is the same one, but I found that one of the outer Timing Belt Drive pulley bearings had failed in my 308. Mine got so bad that I actually never heard it squeek, but rather a sort of grinding and kinda rumbling sound.
Turns out the outer bearing behind the drive pulley was shot. See my post for this one.

Found soon that the INNER bearing was also worn out, ...... and the saga continues ....

A sure way to find out is to remove the belts and grab the drive pulleys to check for looseness and slack.

Good luck with your continued troubleshooting !

Yes, it sounds like a bearing failing. So I guess I'll just remove my freshly installed timing belts and take a look. Since I can't reuse the belts I guess I'll go ahead and order a new set of timing belts.
