I know this has been asked before but for the sake of current fluids available what have the DIYers or shop folks had the best results with? I just used Red Line 75W90 NS. I seem to get more “chatter” when the engine isn’t under load , such reverse, etc.
I'll be swapping in Redline 75w-90NS in a few weeks. Currently has Spirax from the dealer. Have a little bit of whine in 3rd gear that I've been assuming is normal but no other transaxle noise.
You should be fine with that oil just add LSD additive a little at a time till the noise goes away or try ravenol vsg Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Every car is slightly different ..also sometimes the previous oil had the additive and it is already coating the clutch plates and is enough not to need it when you switch to NS version Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Put a 4oz bottle Redline LSD in which helped a lot . Using Redlines. 4-8 % recommendation that was still less than 4% . I’ll probably add a bit more next I take the lower cover off . Perhaps it needs time.
Crossing my fingers until I change the oil over the holidays since it's only one gear in a narrow rpm range. Coolant reservoir is clean currently though I understand that isn't proof the exchanger is ok.
