And, FWIW, Marty's car looks EXCELLENT. My neighbor also uses Zaino on his red Z8--stunning as well. I think that high quality carnuba may have a slightly greater depth of shine, but it doesn't last and I think is harder to apply.

I have a new 430 arriving in a week or two--Zaino it will be.

I will join the chorus on Zaino. Easy to apply, easy off, and gives a great shine. I find that once you have wiped it off, it is worth the effort to take a fresh clean towel and go over the car again. It seems to make the paint jump a bit more.

The roadfly website has a car detailing forum with some serious hard core detailing geeks that has a lot of information. I personally clay the car and then use the Klasse twins. The nice thing with the Klasse acrylic sealer is you can put on a lot of layers with pretty spectacular results. For polishing I use the Porter cable random orbital buffer.

Polymer-based synthetics don't give you the richness or depth that traditional waxes will. They also pose problems if you ever need a panel painted. I will most likey use the Zymol Estate Glaze Vintage, a very high end wax. I was more interested in what you guys, or the professionals who maintain your cars, use to prep the paint safely. Is it safe to use a Menzerna final polish or the likes on a Ferrari surface, etc?

I use PERFECT-IT III from 3M. It's a finishing glaze. My 3M applicators recommended it and you also polish the 3M material with it.
