Does anyone know what a 360 Challenge came with of "loose" items? I'm looking at possibly buying one and wondering if there is a list similar to the street cars of what to make sure one gets with the car.
    Thanks,
    Jes

I can tell you exactly what a 360 Challenge car came with. I bought mine new from Scottsdale Ferrari and had my 2000 model delivered in late 1999. It was delivered with...drumroll...nothing.

I actually got a Warranty Card for the car and a call from FNA. Some poor confuse guy at the other end of the phone called me to talk me though the terms. Before he could, I told him it was a Challenge car and while his call was welcome, everything he was telling me was wrong.

I actually got a key for the doors - most people didn't. I also got a steering wheel cover and car cover. No books, no tool kit, no accessories, no spare parts.

    Wow.

    That's nutz!!

Probably came with this on the card...:

Here's your six-figure $$$ race car! We here at Ferrari make such user-friendly cars that we no include instructions! Since you are purchasing a race car that is NOT legal street we figure that you already know how to operate!

    In bocca al lupo!

The dealership got big thick tech manuals about the car. I think I got one somewhere. Hardly an instruction book, but still something kinda cool as it says "Ferrari 360 Challenge" on it. In fact the lack of instruction book caused some problems - IE no one knew how to use the dashboard when the car showed up. There is also a kill switch down in the footwell that I never knew about either - until I spun one day at Road America.

I've got a door. Just a door. See - the 9 minute mark.

    :(

I cringed when I saw the car spin and move back! That's got to suck!

Would you still have the car if that other car didn't spin? Or would you have raced more?

Well, that makes it easy ;) Joking aside, thanks for the reply. I had gotten the sense that it came with spare springs of different rates, maybe software for display, looking at data logs. But maybe such were all extra $...?

yes and no. I would have loved to keep the car and then used it locally for NASA races and track days. That was the plan until that guy ruined my day. It is by no coincidence that I own a Challenge Stradale.

The 360 Challenge cars have a lot of parts out there. Different sets of springs were not available when the initial cars were delivered. Spare wheels were not even available. In all seriousness, other drivers were actually kinda jealous I actually had a set of keys. It was nice to be able to lock the car and leave stuff inside.

The $80k was actually cheap. The Scottsdale Ferrari crew worked on the car for something like 10 straight hours to get the car on the track by the next day. If they waited (about SIX of them) the $80k bill would have been many thousands higher. Of course the car looked like a rolling wreck with all the duct tape they used, but it ran. mostly. I sold the car for $120k after it was repaired to someone who ran the car in the series in 2002. I heard a fuel line popped off and it burned to the ground. Maybe Carbon knows..serial number was 118780.

My 360 N-GT came with.......1 CD from Michelotto with settings, manual and tech details...And with an extra exhaust with perfect sound but too loud for most circuits.

Here is a video of a carefull round on the Nurnburg GP....the second red Audi is Jacky Ickx...

    Ciao
