After having parted out out quite a number of cars now, I can deftinitely say that the most fantastic treasures are what you find deep inside the centre console. Through the years, many small things disappear in the bowels of the centre console, through the ashtrays or the seat belt anchors.

In the past couple of years, I have found coins from various countries, casino chips, parking tickets and coins, and in fact, I have a small box in which I'm keeping all objects ever found in cars. Just today, in my own Oro Chiaro Mondial, I found what I have been looking for since I have it:

The emblem that fits in the Mondial keyring! One of the previous owners must have take it out off the keyring and put it in the rear ashtray where is fell further down, together with a 500 lira Italian coin. That coin tells me more: it's from between 1995 and 2000 (Euro time), indicating that the car most probably was in Italy around that time.

Now my original keyring is complete again and I don't have to sacrifice a new one for the emblem :)

Digging a bit further... Found 2 keys of a Porsche in the console, with a keyring of a Honda dealer in Switzerland that still exists !

Even the phone# is still in use, but apparently compared to today, a "6" is added before the 34, now trying to learn when this "6" was added to the phone# in Switzerland

I've lost a few things down there. I've never managed to find anything.

This calls to mind the episode of Top Gear where the swabbed the inside of some cars and took them to a lab for analysis.

Not much of interest in the Mondial, but what was interesting was some small caliber bullets, like the type used in an automatic pistol, found in the 1970 E-Type.

$6.25 in quarters nickels and dimes, and 60+ toothpicks, wondered how the car could shift without issue with all that trash in there.
