I'm heading over to Washington State to do some banking...… I might hit a Japanese restaurant on the way out for sushi/sashimi and some rolls. Or I might hit the BBQ restaurant in Lynden WA. Or might hit the casino buffet. Lots of choices, just can't decide!

Max...Do what I did on Saturday. Went with the wife to Costco, which I generally don't enjoy, and grazed on all the freebie samples! Chicken salad, yogurt, madras lentils, chips, some shake kind of thingy, etc. Stopped off at Starbucks for a double espresso on ice and I was right as rain until dinner time...T

I like Costco for samples. I usually end up getting a hot dog there. In Canada they also have an ok poutine.

I'm planning on hitting a French bistro near my house. Its a Quebec French place. I'll probably order beef dip and poutine. I also like there apple crumble for dessert.

Used to be a really good French bistro in Washington DC, about 3 or so blocks east of the White House. Not French Quebec, but hubby was from France and wife originally from Vietnam, if I recall correctly. It was good. Alas, it's closed. Now, we wait until we go to San Fran and hit up Rue Lepic in Nob Hill. Enough talk of fine cuisine! It is comfort food lunch today. Wife got some nice looking tomatoes @ the farmer's market. So, I made mater sammiches. I am not a fan of mayo, so I used a little slather of butter, sliced tomatoes, pink Himalayan salt (to fancy it up), and a splash of Tabasco Scorpion. Yummy!

Theres not a picture to go with it, but I made yak burgers last night, apple wood smoked on the jumbo joe. They had potato, mushroom, rosemary, chia egg, and some other things to extend it, with some fried zucchini as the side. Today’s lunch was leftover burger with garbanzo (socca) bread.

Then I worked out a little, trip up the street and back on a skateboard, another couple miles on a bike, and sifted part of a compost pile, treating some plants around the lawn and a stand of buffalo grass to some nutrition, so, hungry again from that, I’m having a second lunch of the same. Then a little beet juice to wash it down.

Agreed, add some other root vegetables, and you're in super yummy terrorist. Although I always that as a fall/winter dish, perhaps because I don't like these kind of soups chilled...T

I forgot, I had some sauerkraut with it as well. Bubbies- my favorite.

You can also use flax seed in the same way, or the slippery elm I’ve mentioned before. I throw whole seeds in a coffee/spice grinder first, if not using meal. I sure do miss my eggs. I was always a big egg breakfast person.

Today is a hole in the wall diner with the parents. They like all day breakfast there, I'll have a clubhouse.

I'm planning on A&W with the coupons. I feel like onion rings and they make good ones.

You inspired me...arrived to Krakow yesterday. My first meal (dinner last night was the thin pork cutlet as you had made my Ania's mom- no pic taken at her table).

Lunch today is potato pancakes with goulosh (admittedly Hungarian-inspired, but the Poles seem to have appropriated it!):

I'm heading to American Costco. Think I'll do the extra drive and have lunch at the Indian casino buffet.

I can't get full on Costco samples. I feel like fish and chips. So that will be lunch today. I'm taking my mom shopping and we always get lunch out.
