    Seafood bowls, one with Thai peanut theme and the other “crevice” theme (yup, that’s corn nuts and guacamole in there). Not bad, but not as good as their other bowls like ginger ponzu ahi or Hawaiian ahi Poke.

    Made a big pot of Chili today to put up in the freezer. I'm sure everyone has their own go to recipe but I did something different. I used poblano peppers instead of the usual green ones. I also used refried black beans as a thickener. Finally I threw in some Chipotle Peppers in Adobo for my spice vs my usual chili powder. Very please with the new direction this took.     Was super nice weather out, so I abducted the wife from work and we tried a small Mexican restaurant I noticed on a recent drive in the Cali. Picadillo with corn tortillas and a tutti frutti Jarritos. Al fresco.

    That looks awesome! Our favorite restaurant’s food here looks much the same, and I expect that that there is the real McCoy-traditional fare, just as did and was the lunch food shared with me over the span of my career, and at their parties, by various coworkers from Catoula, and Congregación Mexico. Great find!

    It was. Simple meal, not too much, not too little. We were in and out for $13. Nice mom and pop Mexican joint. The kind we're blessed to have a profusion of around these parts...T

    Found a hole in the wall Caribbean joint on Yelp, down near Kissimmee.
    Tropico Mofungo.

    Place was packed. Almost all locals.
    So good. I'm not 100% sure what we ate, but everything was delicious.

    2. sounds great. Tallegio is one of my all time favorite cheeses.

    Stopped at Fuel City Tacos on the way back from a Porsche club drive.

    Elotes in a cup. Nice punch with a generous kick of cayenne pepper.
