Image Unavailable, Please Login A version of this dish that I had earlier in the week. Hash browns and kale, sans spam, and with sardines on the side instead.
Leaving the USA, so...seemed pretty obvious to hit Inn-and-Out one more time. Ordered the only thing that is very plus-level yummy on their menu...Double Double Animal Style. Fan-fricken-tastic! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lunch in Burgundy last weekend. Had to go local with a wine from nearby, snails in pastry and sweetbreads in pastry with a rich brandy cream sauce, morells and prawns.. Good, but obviously fairly heavy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

After getting up at 3am, taking a train to a subway to another train to a plane to a bus to a taxi, we arrived in Rome famished at 1pm...craving Porchetta. Had some sliced as an appetizer and then a couple of pastas. Amazing porky, fatty, salty, rosemary-infused pork yumminess. In our hunger we made a rookie mistake though..we filled up and drank a bunch of wine at lunch...thus committing the foolish mistake of still being pretty full when a long-awaited dinner at one of my favorite restaurants anywhere rolled around at 7:30 (see the dinner thread). This lunch place, I Porchettoni is fairly well-known, but only the owner having lunch and us today. Very nice relaxing and tasty start to a week in Italy. Went to a walk-up, take-away, pizza place in Rome called pizzarium bonci today. Pick a number and wait to be asked what you want...and wait, and wait and wait... After about 45 minutes, the foolish (like me) remain and you finally get to pick you slices. I have to say this was amazing pizza. I had decent expectations given the years of buzz around this place, and it exceeded them. We had three; - Spinach with tomato - Salami with a soft, sharp cheese - roasted potato with cheese Image Unavailable, Please Login
Last lunch in Rome was a lot of fun. We went to Mercato Testiccio and wandered around a ordered a few things from some of the vendors. Standouts were the veal and artichoke on crusty bread, and the fried artichokes. Great way to have lunch when in Rome.
In London the hot dining concept is to gather a bunch of “food trucks and booths” in a giant hall. There are a bunch of these... I had lunch at an Argentinian booth at one yesterday. Steak, chorizo and fries with chimichuri. Pretty tasty. Image Unavailable, Please Login

looks yummy...but I gotta say if I had lasagna for lunch I would be asleep. (although, thinking about it, the most food I ever ate was at a meal in italy cooked by a family friend and it featured lasagna as the middle course. I was painfully full that day)
I did get super sleepy! Warm soup started it lasagna finished me off lol. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
There’s a decent pub downstairs in our new building. Had the burger on this odd black bun on our first day moving in. At least the bun color matched the obligatory Guinness... Image Unavailable, Please Login
