HA! I have the yellow one I bought at Mugello, which I have worn once. I got a black fleece on the same day and have rocked that one many, many times. Must be a "Yellow" thing.
Perpetually clueless Tidbit banned until after Memorial Day - 6/18/09, to be exact. Reason to show idiot; For the love of all that is Holy, shaddup already
60 day ban takes tidbit off the conversational table, right boys? If he's not here to ahem, defend himself, let's just leave him alone and get back to the original topic. What the hell was the original topic? OH yeah, I remember... What do owners think about Ferrari Apparel??
When i was at Ferrari Challenge at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, i got my Scuderia Shield Ferrari hat signed by i believe J.B. Giesse, his nickname is "Didi" or something, but i couldnt really understand the people who were telling me who is was. I thought they said he was a 333SP driver?
I want a Ferrari branded wife-beater. Old Italians always wear them, let's get them branded. F-Chat wine, anyone?
I used to be able to bench press a Buick. I'm more the ninja type now. No, see avatar Gets tangled in chest hair. Still think we need a Friends of OPEC product line, and a "Real Californias have 3L 12's" line. Saw the new Ferrari XLR, confirmed the need. Almost forgot the "I Pissed Off RL and All I Got Was This Crummy T-Shirt and a Ban" t-shirt
Oh, I forgot, a 365 GT4 truckers hat A "This is my Mondial (pic of Cab); This is my Mondial on Drugs (CA pic)" shirt. Does anyone else remember the 250 GT engine cutaway/outline drawing t-shirt? Red shirt, Yellow outline.
Last year, I donated everything I had to a charity auction. I don't like lugging around a bunch of crap. It ain't healthy. Dale
Those are a quality piece..(I think I have three year's worth, "his and hers" one year...Lady Valeria was trolling to get hers back).....the TH years are what I feel is a High Water Mark, as far as Team gear. I suppose if I was still burning money I could try a Puma one, but they look more like Basketball stuff to my eye....the TH stuff has a cell phone pocket, I think Schumi insisted on that feature!!
So this Saturday I walk into the Brewery to be enthusiastically greeted by the crew from Brick House Tap House, man, they were all cute lil' bunnies! So, SOMEWHERE there's a great series of pics...I went by Sunday to the restaurant to track them down and of the five young ladies, two couldn't finish the shift that afternoon (I think we may have accidentally given them FIVE samples each, not four)...two were sick by the end of the day, and ALL of them were missing Sunday. YIKES! It's a cool concept, this Pub, I think we'll do F1 Viewing there, it's perfect.... The girls all have little picture trading cards like baseball players, so I have narrowed it down to two that may have my photos, I'll retrieve them and post...the Sunday bartender was an older tall blond from South Africa, very nice but already married.... The whole place was like a laid back, classy Hooter's....fireplace burning, big comfy armchairs and the waitresses that had no customers were all sunbathing on the front porch railings.... Tex was content.... Sorry about our clueless newb.......it's hard to teach manners, I guess if you don't start early...
Now, Miss Annelia found the "trading cards" in my (TH old red, non tobacco Ferrari ) shirt, as she hung it up for the evening....... So, Note to Self..........be careful with those "business cards"....... We had a frog strangling rain that day, the Ferrari went thru 12" of running water........BAD DAY to pick the black suede PUMA Speed Cats, they'll be drying out for DAYS! So will the car!
That was on a shirt in the late 80's. The front had a dinosaur rampante. The back read "We remember Ferraris when Mondials had four cylinders, GTOs had twelve, and Testa Rossa was two words."
I think the subject is different for different cultures and sexes. Many support the Ferrari Formula One team by wearing the shirts. This practice isn't typical in America as few of the general public know Formula One and the question in most peoples mind here is " I wonder if he owns a Ferrari?" as if wearing a shirt means you have to own one. Alot of South Americans/Europeans wear a Ferrari shirt because one of their country's favorite sons drove for the marque. Others just support the team in the same way Americans wear NASCAR shirts or Pittsburgh Steeler ones etc. Furthermore many are just into the brand as fashion and not to support racing or to try and pass theirself off as an owner. As for women wearing a ferrari hat or shirt i think most just want that cute hat or that cute top with the horse on it etc. This is the goal of the Brand managers and merchandisers i'd think to expand the clothing to those who like it just for the way it looks. For me though i pretty much share the American mindset of wearing Ferrari clothes only on occasion. My sister and nephews buy me these nice Ferrari shirts at a store in the Disney complex somewhere in Orlando. I don't wanna get into the whole diatribe with them so i just say thank you and appreciate the gift as an act of kindness. When the nephews come over uncle stu puts on one of the nice Ferrari shirts. Other than those occasions i wear one when attending or working at a car show from time to time. Most days though i dress from where all men should..the hamper. I have nothing against those that wear alot of Ferrari garb it's just something i don't feel so comfortable in.
