    The orange aero floor duct and the two grey ones ?

    Floor duct is to cool down the alternator which will fry without it.
    The grey ducts are for brake cooling.

    Can the floor duct be improved upon ? Why is the floor duct orange the brake ducts not orange?

    Because it has cooling air? Also the fact that the term idle means doing no work. When work is not being done heat is not generated and radiated.

    I have worked on 550s since the day they came out. Is there an alternator issue I am unaware of?
